About Inkhide
Inkhide exists to make objects that last.
In a world of disposable goods and endless options, we choose the opposite path: fewer products, made slowly, with care and purpose. Each Inkhide piece is handmade and bound by hand, using durable materials chosen for how they age.
Every month, we release a single, limited run product.
One design. One focus. When it's gone, it's gone.
This approach allows us to give our full attention to craftsmanship. Creating, stitching, binding, and finishing each piece by hand. No assembly lines. No shortcuts. Just honest work and thoughtful materials.
Craft Over Scale
Inkhide products are built to be used, worn in, and carried for years. Our journals and notebooks are designed to open flat, take ink well, and hold up to daily use. Our leather goods are cut from quality hides and stitched for strength, not speed.
Small imperfections are part of the process. They are signs that a human made this, not a machine.
Our printed books are typeset ourselves, printed with local printing partners and then hand bound here in Chesapeake. Our covers are hand died, pressed, and painted.
Limited by Design
We don't chase trends or expand endlessly. Limiting each release to a single product allows us to:
- Maintain consistent quality
- Work with our hands, not against the clock
- Reduce waste and overproduction
- Create objects with intention and clarity
Inkhide is not about having more. It's about having better.
Made for Those Who Value the Work
Inkhide is for writers, artists, planners, thinkers, and anyone who values tools that feel solid and purposeful.
Thank you for supporting small-batch, handmade work.
